PORTLAND – Katherine Frances Leavitt Tremblay of Gray left this world peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 23, after a brief illness.

She was born on April 20, 1978, the daughter of Daniel S. and Tamara (Day) Leavitt, also of Gray.

She married Robert Tremblay of Gray in a joyful Sept. 13 wedding, just four weeks before falling ill.

Katie always took pleasure in the simple events of daily life – being with her family, her many lifelong friends, and her cats. She enjoyed skiing, gardening, barbecuing and playing board games. She and Bob loved motorcycling, and camping in the White Mountains and at the ocean each summer.

In addition to her husband and parents, Katie is survived by her sister, Amanda Piper, of South Portland; three aunts, Heidi Hamilton and Kristen Powers, both of New Gloucester, and Bethany Stackhouse of Lisbon Falls; an uncle, Stephen Day of Gray; and 11 cousins.
