OTISFIELD – Rachel Marie Picone of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Benjamin Tyler Wood of Otisfield, were married at two o’clock in the afternoon on Aug. 10 at Little Pond, Otisfield, with the Rev. Jean Kiskaddon, grandmother of the bridegroom, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Jill Picone of Tuscaloosa, Ala. She is the granddaughter of Robert and Annella Adkisson of Klamath Falls, Ore., and of the late Vincent and Eunice Picone of Park Forest, Ill.
The bridegroom is the son of Glenn and Kathryn Wood of Otisfield. He is the grandson of the Rev. Jean Kiskaddon and the late Charles Graham Kiskaddon, both of New York, N.Y., and of Samuel and Geraldine Wood of Orangeburg, S.C.
Given in marriage by both of her parents, the bride wore an ivory satin off-the-shoulder, empire-waist gown with a chapel-length train and an embroidered lace overlay trimmed with seed pearls.
The bride was attended by Désirée Picone, her sister, and Benjamin Picone, her brother, both of Tuscaloosa, Ala., as attendants of honor. The bridesmaid was Cora Reid of Tuscaloosa, Ala., friend of the bride.
Michael Wood of Otisfield, brother of the bridegroom, Megan Arbour of Worthington, Ohio, sister of the bridegroom, and Samuel Wood of Denver, Colo., brother of the bridegroom, served the bridegroom as attendants of honor. Groomsmen were Gardner Waldeier of Waterford, Niaz Karim of New York, N.Y., and Colin Bayer of Chicago, Ill., all friends of the bridegroom. The ring bearer was Chase Sattler of Springfield, Ore., cousin of the bride.
Following a trip to coastal Maine, the couple continues to reside in Richmond, Va.
