Auction, supper

RUMFORD – The Oxford County Democrats virtual online auction will run through Thursday, Oct. 30. It is a major fundraiser. Auction items are listed on the Web site, www.oxforddems.org and through the electronic newsletter. Bids can be placed by e-mail.

The auction will conclude at the 5:30 p.m. Thursday Final Push Supper at the Rumford Eagles Hall. The supper will feature beef stew and biscuits. Congressman Mike Michaud will be the guest of honor. Tickets at the door will be $4.

Class meeting

MEXICO – The Mexico High School Class of 1953 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at Dick’s Restaurant. All classmates are welcome

Lodge supper

RUMFORD – A roast pork loin supper will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Blazing Star Lodge, Route 232, Rumford Corner. Menu will include pork, mashed potato, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, coleslaw, coffee, punch and pie.

Cost will be adults, $10; children under 12, $5. Take-outs will be available. There is a stair chair lift on the back stairs. For more information, call Joe Roy at 364-4715 or e-mail [email protected].

Conferences

DIXFIELD – Dirigo High School will hold teacher/parent/student conferences from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, and Thursday, Nov. 13. The conferences will be held to 15 minutes.

Those who need additional time or who cannot attend, may make an appointment with the teacher at a more convenient time.

Spraying trees

RUMFORD – The Rumford Fire Department will spray Christmas trees from Friday, Nov. 28, until Christmas. Daily hours will be 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Those wishing should take their tree to the back yard of the fire station.
