FARMINGTON – Four candidates seeking re-election to Franklin County government positions will be uncontested on the Tuesday, Nov. 4 ballot.

Running for the District 1 County Commission seat is incumbent Commissioner Gary McGrane, a Democrat from Jay. The district serves the towns of Carthage, Jay and Wilton.

Incumbent Commissioner Fred Hardy, a Republican from New Sharon, is seeking reelection in District 2, which serves the towns of Chesterville, Farmington and New Sharon.

Incumbent Sheriff Dennis Pike of Farmington, an Independent candidate, is seeking re-election as sheriff, and incumbent Register of Probate Joyce Morton of Farmington, a Republican, also is seeking reelection.
