AUBURN – Laurette F. Lavigne, 68, lifelong resident of Lewiston, died Monday, Oct. 27, at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
She was born March 20, 1940, in Lewiston, a daughter of Andre and Yvette (Ramsey) Cote. She was educated in Lewiston and graduated from St. Dominic’s High School.
She married Normand Lavigne on Nov. 28, 1959, in Lewiston.
She had been employed at Crest Shoe in Lewiston and at Stanhope Bindery of Lewiston until the birth of her children when she stayed at home to raise her family.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church of Lewiston.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, four-wheeling, snowmobiling and photographing all types of nature and her various trips with family.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Normand Lavigne of Lewiston; four children, Michael and his wife, AnneMarie Lavigne, of Lewiston, Suzanne and her husband, Bob Donovan, of Lisbon, Diane and her husband, Mike LaBrecque, of Sabattus and Paul and his wife, AnneMarie Lavigne, of Belchertown, Mass.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her mother-in-law, Mariangne Lavigne of Lewiston.
