LEWISTON – Linda L. (Memere) Perryman, 59, of Lewiston died suddenly and unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 25, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston, Jan. 28, 1949, the daughter of Joseph and Albertine Boucher Long. She was educated in Lewiston schools having graduated from St. Dominic’s High School, Class of 1965, and later attending Bliss College, where she studied medical transcription.

On Nov. 26, 1971, she married Grant C. Perryman. Together they made their home in Lewiston and raised their two children. She worked for many years for Val’s Flower Shop in Lewiston, 20 years with Connie’s Catering and most recently at L.L.Bean.

She was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. She was blessed with the gift of hospitality, not in the sense of entertainment, but from her innate ability to make you feel like you belonged. A woman who saw life through rose colored glasses, she could always lift your spirits and make you feel special. Her beautiful spirit will always remain in everyone’s heart.

Her greatest pleasure in life was the time she spent with her family and the good fortune of lifelong friends. She will be sadly missed but always remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Grant of Lewiston; her daughter, Lena-Jo Hartley and her husband, Darren, of Lewiston; her son, Joe and his wife, Jouleyanne Perryman, of Lewiston; her four loving grandchildren, Grant and Sofia Hartley and Bella and Campbell Perryman; her three sisters, Joan Wills and her husband, Phil, of New Hampshire, Cleo Bosse of Lewiston and Doreen Labbe and her husband, Maurice, of Bailey’s Island; her brother, Darrel Long and his wife, Carol, of Turner; many nieces and nephews; and her dearest friends, Terry, Lucille and Louise.
