WELD – The Weld Congregational Church has announced that Pastor Robert Edgarton was ordained on Oct. 19 at the First Congregational Church in Wiscasset.

Edgarton was greeted by a reception after Sunday worship Oct. 26, to celebrate his accomplishment. He opened gifts and shared food and a time of fellowship with the congregation.

On Sunday, Nov. 2, the Franklin Association will hold its fall semi-annual meeting and lunch at the Weld Congregational Church. The worship service will include the official installation of Edgarton.

The program will be by Richard Waddell on his trip and experiences while he was on a trek earlier this year in Spain. As a reminder, those from the Weld church should make a casserole for the lunch. Anyone with questions should contact Dot Nering.

The annual harvest supper will be on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the church.
