There were more than 60 volunteers made up of Rotarians, community members and youth to help River Valley residents button up their homes during the Rumford Rotary Club’s organized winterization project. A total of 36 homes had their windows covered with plastic, leaks around windows and doors sealed with caulking and weather stripping, compact florescent light bulbs installed and other energy saving measures completed. A few homes remain and the club hopes to complete those projects Saturday, Nov. 1.
