LEWISTON – Museum L-A will celebrate the grand opening of its new shop on Nov. 1 with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. followed by light refreshments and free admission until closing time at 4 p.m.

Scheduled to cut the ribbon is Chip Morrison, president of the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce. Museum L-A Executive Director Rachel Desgrosseilliers said proceeds from the shop will help fund museum programs and operating expenses.

The shop is located in the museum’s first-floor gallery at 35 Canal St. in the Bates Mill Complex. Museum L-A documents and celebrates the story of work and community in Lewiston-Auburn from the 1840s to the present.
