For the month of October, most families share the tradition of spending the night, October 31, trick-or-treating. They stroll around the neighborhood dressed in various costumes in search of candy dishes placed amongst the steps for children to hunt through.
This year, in Maine, drug dealers are producing “kid friendly” drugs with colorful animations and flavors printed on the packaging. One in particular is Strawberry Meth, otherwise known as Strawberry Quick. This drug is wrapped in a clear package with a fruit cartoon on the front.
This product fooled some preteen Maine residents; after they consumed it they were rushed to intensive care. Surviving was lucky and it could have killed them instantly. To keep other children safe, be sure to check their candy collections before they enjoy their treats. Halloween is meant for fun and a great start of the holiday season!
