CANTON – C. Wesley Goding, 92, a longtime resident of Turner, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Victorian Villa Nursing Home.

He was born in Lewiston, Feb. 28, 1916, the son of Clarence and Maude (Farnum) Goding and attended Livermore Falls High School. On Oct. 25, 1937, he married Katherine Pratt in Turner. She passed away on Oct. 8, 2004.

He worked as a woodsman and for the state of Maine Transportation Department, retiring in 1978.

He is survived by a son, Blaine Goding and his wife, Priscilla, of Hadley, N.Y.; two grandchildren, John Goding and his wife, Toni, of Presque Isle and Pamela Palandrani and her husband, Robert Jr., of Ticonderoga, N.Y.; five great-grandchildren, Michelle, Marissa, Katherine and Kristen Palandrani and Gabrielle Goding; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife; and a son, Carson W. Goding in 1978.
