RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy G. “Dot” Sanchas was celebrated Friday at St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford. Celebrants were the Rev. Angelo LeVasseur and the Rev. Alfred Jacques. George Gionet was the altar assistant. Readings were done by Arita Zitoli and Joan Lepage. Eulogy was given by Catherine Cavallaro. Poems were read by Catherine Rand, Colleen Calden, Rosemary Russell, Dot Benedix. Pallbearers were James Sanchas, Lawrence Louis, Catherine Rand, Maureen Desjardins, Jonathan Berkleigh and Anthony Ricci. Honor delegation was from St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. LeVasseur. Interment was in St. John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed at the Eagles Hall in Rumford. Arrangements were under the direction of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
