TURNER – Manuel Joseph “Beany” Scott of Oxford died Friday, Oct. 31, in Turner.

He was born in Exeter, N.H,, on Aug. 7, 1952, to Alfred and Barbara Enos Scott.

Beany was a self-employed truck driver.

He was a big gentle teddy bear to all that knew him and was loved by all.

He is survived by his lifetime partner, Brenda Jones, of Oxford; his children, Manuel Joseph Scott II of Oxford, William Jason Theodore Scott of Windham, and Jessica Louise Scott of Oxford; stepchildren, Karen Lynn Collins of South Paris, and Michael Anthony Albano of Windham; sisters, Kathy Thurlow of Hampton, N.H., Linda Cole and her husband, Marvin, of Greenwood, Bitsy Holt of South Paris, and Liz Douglas of Oxford; and grandchildren, Breane, Justin, Jason, Landon, Ashley, Caitlyn, Eric, Christina, Tayla and Jade.

He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Bruce Thurlow; and his parents, Alfred and Barbara Scott.
