CARTHAGE – Wallace “Wal-dog” F. Virgin passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on Jan. 17, 1953, the son of Wallace and Ileane (Croizer) Virgin.

He worked in Waltham, Mass., for Profile Engineering for 10 years.

He loved hanging around with his family and friends and loved riding his four-wheeler with his dog, Cat-dog.

He is survived by his mother, Ileane; father, Wallace and his wife, Pam; a brother, Steven and his wife, Amanda; a sister, Mary Ann and her husband, Carl Virgin-Brooks, and their two children, Brielle and Jazmine.

Thanks to John Ellis, who was his biggest supporter.

We would also like to thank Androscoggin Home Health Care, and Dr. Austin and his staff for their care and compassion.

There will be no funeral for our brother, for he has generously donated his body to the University of New England to help them find a cure for cancer. In Wally’s words, “If I can save one life by doing this, it will be well worth it.”
