Lewiston – Edna Grace Alden, 97, a resident of Taylor Hill Road, Lewiston, died Sunday, Nov. 2, at St. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.

She was born on May 6, 1911, the daughter of Frank G. and Bertha May (Hodsdon) Conant. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1930, and Farmington State Teacher’s College in 1932. She taught at the elementary level in the school systems of Leeds, Greene and Auburn. On Aug. 28, 1936, she married Ralph Wesley Alden.

She was preceded in death by her husband on July 30, 2000; and by their son, David Ralph Alden, in 1993.
