Air Force Staff Sgt. James I. Allen has deployed to Southwest Asia in the Persian Gulf region to support the missions of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force Horn of Africa as a member of the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing. He is regularly assigned to the 436th Services, Dover Air Force Base, Del.

Wing members provide support for the U.S. Air Force’s Central mission.

It is a large, diverse expeditionary wing with more than 100 combat and combat support aircraft, including eight coalition airframes assigned with missions ranging from close air support, airlift, refueling, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

Allen is a fitness center specialist with six years of military service. He is the son of Marie Berry of Richmond and Edward Allen of Buckfield. The sergeant is a 2000 graduate of Richmond High School.
