SOUTH PARIS – Eino E. Ronkko, 65, of South Paris died Sunday, Nov. 2, at Market Square Health Care Center.
He was born in Norway on Oct. 5, 1943, and raised by Helen and Toivo Heikkinen. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School and had done masonry work and worked in the woods for many years.
He was a member of the National Guard. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He loved Ashley.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Ronkko and his wife, Kelly, of Dover, N.H.; his daughter, Karen Ferris and “Red” Garey of Norway; his grandson, Caleb Ferris; two sisters, Rose Cox and Jeannette Truman and her husband, Ned; Helen Heikkinen of South Paris and her children, Cynthia Cushman, Stephen Heikkinen and his wife, Kathy, and Laura Drouin and her husband, Paul, who were like brothers and sisters to him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lauri and Hilda Ronkko; Toivo Heikkinen; and two brothers, Albert and Raymond.
