TURNER – Manuel Joseph “Beany” Scott of Oxford, died Friday, Oct. 31, in Turner.

He was born in Exeter, N.H., on Aug. 7, 1952, to Alfred and Barbara Enos Scott. Beany was a self-employed truck driver. He was a big gentle teddy bear to all that knew him. He was loved by all.

He was an avid NASCAR fan since a little boy and he loved boating, camping, fishing, snowmobiling, family cookouts and spending many hours with family and friends. He looked forward to his Wednesday night dinner with Brenda.

He is survived by his lifetime partner, Brenda Jones of Oxford; his children, Manuel Joseph Scott II and wife, Crissy, of Oxford, William Jason Theodore Scott of Windham and Jessica Louise Scott of Oxford; stepchildren, Karen Lynn Collins of South Paris and Michael Anthony Albano of Windham; sisters, Kathy Thurlow of Hampton, N.H., Linda Cole and her husband, Marvin, of Greenwood, Bitsy Holt of South Paris and Liz Douglas of Oxford; grandchildren, Breane, Justin, Jason, Landon, Ashley, Caitlyn, Eric, Christina, Tayla and Jade; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Bruce Thurlow; and his parents, Alfred and Barbara Scott.
