NORWAY – Birdie Googins, aka The Marden’s Lady, will bring her fun, kooky one-woman show to the Second Congregational Church, UCC, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15.
Martha Lello, aka Karmo Sanders, Birdie Googins and The Marden’s Lady, is no stranger to Norway. She was raised in the parsonage of the Second Congregational Church and graduated from Oxford Hills High School. For most of her life, she has been working in the theater as an actress, writer and comedian; she earned a master’s degree from Boston University as a playwright.
“Everyone is welcome and remember, laughing out loud is good for the soul,” said the Rev. Leslie Foley.
Tickets, $10, are on sale in the church office and at Books N Things on Main Street. Some tickets will also be available at the door. The sanctuary of the church at 205 Main St. has open seating limited to 225. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served after the show.
