MEXICO – With only Mexico, District 93’s largest town, reporting election results late Tuesday, incumbent Rep. Sheryl Briggs was leading her two challengers.
Late Tuesday night, Briggs tallied 1,120 votes to independent William Hine’s 38, and independent Trevis Knapp’s, 304.
Briggs, 53, a Democrat from Mexico, replaced former Republican representative Randy Hotham, who resigned due to job restraints.
She works in the Mexico town office as deputy clerk.
