Grange fair

AUBURN – The annual holiday fair of the Danville Union Church will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Danville Grange. The fellowship has been planning and working on the event for many months.

There will be hand-crafted items for sale and the white elephant table will be loaded with second-hand items. The candy and food table will offer goodies and there will be several items for the raffle. A luncheon will also be served.

Barker Mill event

AUBURN – The Barker Mill Arms Christmas fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the Barker Arms community room, 143 Mill St. Refreshments will be sold and there will be raffles and 50/50. Homemade foods and items will be available and there will be a white elephant table.

Holiday crafts

BRUNSWICK – A holiday craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Brunswick High School, Maquoit Road. Admission is free. It is being sponsored by the All Military Craft Fair Association to benefit the Tedford Shelter.

Folkcraft fair

FREEPORT – A Fall Folkcraft Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Merriconeag Waldorf School, 57 Desert Road. There will be fine crafts, handmade toys, food, live music, children’s crafts and games and puppetry. For more information, call 865-3900 or go to www.Merriconeag.org.

Teddy Bear Fair

LEWISTON – Delta Kappa Gamma will hold its annual Teddy Bear Fair in the cafeteria of Lewiston High School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8. The women will sell handmade Christmas crafts, books, DVDs, CDs, baked goods and homemade candies and fudge, baked beans with biscuits or brown bread, homemade jellies, jams and canned goods from the garden.

There will also be a white elephant table; a stuffed animal table with Teddy Bears; a lunch counter; and a raffle table. The monies made by the fair will be used for scholarships and to help fund several of the society’s community service projects.

Church event

MINOT – The Minot United Methodist Church Fair, “Susanna’s Treasures,” will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the church vestry Saturday. Free coffee will be offered.

Luncheon will be served from 11:30 a.m to 1 p.m. There will be door prizes, silent auction table, homebaked goods, a cheese wheel, a cookie walk, crafts, a cook book table, holiday decorations and treasures.

Vendor fair

MINOT – The Minot grade eight will hold a vendor fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Minot Consolidated School. There will be vendors, raffle table and snack tables. All proceeds will go towards the class trip to New York City in June.

Silver Lining

POWNAL – A Silver Lining Christmas Fair, featuring crafts, baked goods, decorations, knitted and sewn items and a silent auction, will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the North Pownal United Methodist Church, 71 Lawrence Road.

Meals Friday will be soup and hot dogs; Saturday, lasagna and sandwiches. For more information, call Nancy at 688-4481.

Church fair

SABATTUS – The United Methodist Church fair will be held in the church vestry from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8. Free coffee will be available and luncheon will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be door prizes, a silent auction table, homebaked goods, an old-fashioned cheese wheel and a cookie walk. Other features will include crafts, a cookbook table, holiday decorations and treasures.

Leavitt change

TURNER – The Leavitt Craft Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, a change from the Veterans’ Day date.

Holiday event

TURNER – The Universalist Church of Turner Center, Route 117, will hold a holiday fair from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the church. There will be food, white elephant and craft tables.

Church fair

WALES – A church fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Wales Youth Center, Route 132.

Holiday magic

WINTHROP – A Holiday Magic Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at St. Francis Parish Hall, Route 133. Items have been donated by Margy Burns Knight, Lynn Plourde, Gov. John Baldacci, Portland Pirates and Portland Sea Dogs. Lunch will be available and there will be a visit by Santa.
