Church fair

WALES – A church fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Wales Youth Center, Route 132.

It will feature food, crafts, fancy work and candy. A luncheon will be served, including chowder, beef stew, hot dogs and beverages. Everyone is welcome.

Sodality brunch

LEWISTON – The Queens Guild Sodality of St. Joseph’s Church will hold its Communion Brunch on Sunday, Nov. 9, after the 10:15 a.m. Mass. It will be held in the church hall. A moment of silence will be offered for deceased members. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased by calling Clara at 784-1851.

Educators meeting

AUBURN – The Androscoggin Retired Educators will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Central Maine Community College. Lunch will be served at noon with two choices: boneless breast of chicken with sauce for $9.75, or baked Boston schrod for $11.50. Accompanying each meal will be soup, potato, vegetable, salad, rolls, dessert and beverage.

After lunch, Donna Berry, school mistress of the West Auburn School, will provide a one-room school experience. Host and hostess will be Paul and Sally Belisle.

Reservations should be sent on or before Friday, Nov. 7, to: Paul and Sally Belisle, 11 Laase Ave., Lewiston, ME 04240. All retired educators and spouses are welcome.

Potluck supper

LEWISTON – The MS Support Group and Caregivers will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave.

Thanksgiving meal

LEWISTON – Hope Haven Gospel Mission will provide a free Thanksgiving dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 27, at 209 Lincoln St. All who are in need are welcome. Shut-ins may call 783-6086 for meal delivery.
