AUBURN – Janice R. Lee, 70, of Schooner Estates, 200 Stetson Road, passed away on Friday, Oct. 31, at her home.
She was born in Long Branch, N.J., Aug. 11, 1938, the daughter of the late Herschel and Kate Kreisberg Stout. Before settling in Lewiston-Auburn she had traveled extensively. Prior to her retirement in 2004, she was employed for more than 20 years at Bates College as an audio librarian.
Her mother was an accomplished pianist and instilled her love of music in Janice at an early age. She also enjoyed reading and had a special fondness for animals, especially cats.
She is survived by a daughter, Catherine E. Lee Emery and husband, Mark, of Stavanger, Norway; a son, Gregory Lee and his wife, Christine, of Gray; and a grandson, Timothy Lee.
