Well, the election is over. It doesn’t matter who we voted for now, we just need to hope he’ll do the job that our country wants of a responsible leader. We have to hope he’s not going to be the same person that he was in the U.S. Senate. Will he work across party lines? Will he unite our country? Will he actually be able to bring our economy back from a recession? Will he bring manufacturing jobs back to the U.S.? Will he place good and fair judges on the Supreme Court? The telling point will be when he does or does not back Israel. And, many other things that he has talked about.
It seems like he may be leaning toward a less liberal stance than he had in the Senate. Can this be true? Or, will we see another Barack Obama?
I think he has the potential to become the greatest president we’ve ever seen. But, on the other hand I think he also has the potential to bring our great country to ruins.
Our young people may think this country isn’t that great. They don’t have the knowledge and experience that the older generation has lived through. Depressions, wars with a draft, etc. Maybe Obama will reinstate the draft. It’s been talked about. During one of the debates, I heard discussion about draftees being able to choose the military, job or peace corps.
Whatever happens, I will pray for this great country.
