WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) – A woman charged with arson who claims multiple personality disorder has been found competent to stand trial, a judge saying she has “serious mental disorders” but can still assist in her own defense. Fifty-one-year-old Cheryle Potwin of Sharon, is accused in two Sept. 29, 2006, house fires, in Hartland and Woodstock.

After her arrest in the Woodstock fire, she told police she suffers from multiple personality disorder and has nine or 10 personalities.

In a ruling filed Monday, Judge Kathleen Manley found her competent to stand
