All of us are different, but we do have something in common: the love of food. What better way to bring people together, than through that common love? Well, that is exactly what I thought ,which is why I came up with the idea for the Lewiston Middle School World Cafe Cookbook.

This cookbook will contain recipes from Lewiston Middle Schoolstudents and staff, local restaurant chefs, and other very important people such as Senator Olympia Snowe, Senator Peggy Rotundo, Peter Geiger, and Holocaust survivor, Judith Isaacson. The cookbook will be published and sold before the holidays.

The proceeds from the cookbook will go to the Lewiston Middle School Civil Rights Team to help them pay for team building activities, like their trip to Camp Kieve, that the team hopes to take this winter.
