DOVER-FOXCROFT – Olivette A. Couture, 86, formerly of Sabattus Street in Lewiston, passed away early Saturday, Nov. 8, at Hibbard Nursing Home, with her son at her side.

She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 27, 1921, a daughter of Lucien and Delvina (Bolduc) Rancourt. She was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community.

In 2006, she and her husband Lucien moved up north to be closer to their only son Richard. On Aug. 26, 1939, Olivette married Lucien Couture and they settled in Lewiston to raise their family.

After their marriage, she stayed at home and worked as a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish and enjoyed traveling, spending time at the ocean, and she loved times at the family camp at Moosehead Lake, especially Lily Bay. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed.

She leaves her husband of 69 years, Lucien Couture of Dover-Foxcroft; a son, Richard Couture and his wife, Lynn, of Lily Bay Township; a grandson, Michael Couture and wife, Trina, of Westbrook; two great-granddaughters, Kelsey and Emma Couture; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by nine sisters.
