NORWAY – Theresa Marie Ronan, 81, of Penobscot Street, Rumford, died Monday, Nov. 10, at Stephens Memorial Hospital, after a long illness.
She was born in Rumford, on Aug. 7, 1927, a daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Bernard) Boudreau. She was educated in Mexico schools.
She was employed for several years at Oxford Paper Co., prior to the birth of her oldest daughter Ellen Marie Ronan. She later was employed at Diamond National in Peru in the late 1960s.
She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s and St. Athanasius-St. John Catholic Church.
She loved crocheting, working outdoors, tending to her flower garden, and family get-togethers.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and was loved by many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John R. Ronan; five children, Ellen Marie Ronan of Rumford, Dennis M. Ronan and wife, Kathleen, of Canton, Linwood J. Ronan and wife, Jacqueline, of Rumford, John M. Ronan of Rumford and Pamela A. Jacobs of Rumford; two sisters, Sister Geraldine Boudreau of Lewiston and Rose Marie Watson of Windham; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Adelard, Fernando, Ivan, Robert and Aime Boudreau; and sisters, Donalda Rancourt, Flora Cormier, and Martha Delepine.
