NEW WATERFORD, Ohio – Faith Hartford of New Waterford, Ohio, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 10. She died at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, after a short illness, with her loving family by her side.
She was born on March 26, 1934, in Washington, D.C., the second child of Einer and Mildred Nelson. She grew up in Manassas, Va.
On Dec. 31, 1955, she married Clement Hartford. They moved to Minot, where they raised their four children. She was an amazing mother and wife who could and did do anything she set her mind to, from teaching Girl Scouts how to sew, to helping her husband coach little league, to being the office manager of a large construction company in Florida.
Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her family and friends and serving her Lord as a faithful and active member of the Church of Christ in North Lima, Ohio.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 52 years, Clement; her daughter, Sharon and her husband, Rick Petrie and their children, Adam and Kathryn of Minot; her son, Tom and his wife, Jessica Hartford and his son, Shawn of Minot; her son, Eric and his wife, Wendy Hartford and their daughter, Monica of Rockledge, Fla.; and her son, Matthew and his wife, Jessica Hartford and their children, Leah, Joel and Jadon of New Waterford, Ohio.
