GREENE – Gary L. Shank, 54, of 16 Gibbs Lane, Greene, died Sunday, Nov. 9.
He was born in Lewiston, on March 23, 1954, the son of Lucien and Cathleen (Dutille) Shank.
He was a 1972 graduate of Nogales High School in Covina, Calif. He served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1975, where he was an 11D20 Scout.
He was self-employed as a carpenter. He was an avid woodworker, making doll houses and model wooden ships. He was an excellent finish carpenter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his sisters, Vicki Levesque and her husband, Raymond, of Auburn and Kelly Keene and her husband, Timithy, of Lewiston; his brothers, Timothy Shank and his wife, Cheryl, of Monmouth and Michael Shank and his wife, Linda, of Arkansas; his daughters, Lori and Linnea Shank, of California; his special niece, Tracy Bussiere, and her husband, Scott, of Minot; his special nephew, Ryan Levesque, of Auburn; his great-nephew, James Hunter Bussiere of Minot; his great-niece, Brittany Wood of Auburn; his special friend, Heidie Theiss and her children, who Gary was a dad to, Jacob and Clarrisa, of Victorville, Calif.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his mother, Cathleen Cosgrove; his stepfather, Michael Cosgrove; his father, Lucien Shank; and his brother, James Cosgrove.
