Rumford Sgt. Tracey Higley checks out a late model Volkswagen Jetta owned by Jennifer Gray, 28, Dixfield, following a collision between Gray’s vehicle and a 2003 GMC van owned by Rumford Group Homes and driven by Apryl Yates-Richard, 34, Wednesday afternoon on the bridge near the entrance to the NewPage Corp. mill yard. Higley estimated damage to Gray’s vehicle at about $4,000. Gray was taken by a friend to Rumford Hospital where she was being evaluated late Wednesday afternoon. The van sustained no damage.
