NORWAY – A registered sex offender was arrested Saturday night on a charge of aggravated assault.

William Hershel Thomas III, 26, of Buckfield Road in Hebron is accused of attacking a 32-year-old man at the man’s apartment on King Street in Norway. The victim told police that Thomas punched him several times above his right eye and bit him on his right thigh when he put Thomas into a headlock.

Chief Robert Federico of the Norway Police Department said he and officer Theron Bickford responded to the incident and arrested Thomas at a Beal Street residence.
