DOVER-FOXCROFT – Jeanette M. Lunt, 78, formerly of Winthrop, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Hibbard Nursing Home.
She was born in Winthrop, on Nov. 4, 1930, the daughter of Ferdinand and Jennie (DeBlois) Drapeau. She was a graduate of Winthrop High School, Class of 1949.
She worked for Depositor’s Trust in Winthrop and Augusta, which later became Key Bank. During this time, she attended Stevens School of Banking at Williams College in Rhode Island, and then Rutgers University in New Jersey. She retired from Key Trust in 1995.
For the past six years, she and her husband, Joe enjoyed living at their home on Sebec Lake in Dover-Foxcroft. She enjoyed fishing and the time spent there with her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook who loved making meals for the family. Holiday dinners would not be complete without her fresh baked cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph Lunt of Dover-Foxcroft; a son, Stephen Lunt and his wife, Colleen, of Winthrop; two grandchildren, Allyson Lunt and Matthew Lunt; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Stephanie Lunt in 1994; a sister, Elaine Tibbetts; and brother, Robert Drapeau.
