FARMINGTON – In early December 2007 the Maine Animal Welfare Program called and asked if the Franklin County Animal Shelter would help care for and place 10 cats that were being removed from a person’s home.
The shelter accepted the cats, and all but two of the flame point Himalayans have been adopted.
Mufasa is a man of means. He is large, outgoing and handsome and he knows how to entertain the staff and fellow felines. For adoption information, all 778-2638.
The shelter will be closed to the public until Monday, Dec. 1. Staff will still accept stray animals. Anyone who has lost a pet should contact the shelter and the local animal control officer.
New dogs include a female white with black collie mix from East Dixfield, female black and tan rotti mix from Wilton, female husky mix from New Portland and male brindle and white pit mix from Farmington.
