LIVERMORE FALLS – A town manager search committee has narrowed the candidate pool to two for second interviews, select board Chairwoman Louise Chabot said Thursday.
The search committee interviewed six candidates, five in person and one by phone on Wednesday, she said. A seventh candidate didn’t show, she said.
Chabot and Selectman Jackie Knight of the committee plan to meet in executive session with other selectmen Monday night to see if they agree with the two candidates chosen for a second interview.
The selectmen meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at the town office.
“I would say we potentially have three strong candidates, if one of the first two decide they do not want the position,” Chabot said.
Serving on the search committee besides Chabot and Knight are Highway Foreman Bill Nichols, Sewer Department Superintendent Kent Mitchell, police Chief Ernie Steward, Treasurer Kristal Flagg and community members Darryl Brown and Phil Poirier.
