PORTLAND – Cecile H. (Hebert) Moulton, 93, of Portland died Friday, Nov. 14, at Mercy Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Antonio Labbe who died in 1963 and the late Frank L. Moulton who died in 1990.
She was born in Lisbon on June 13, 1915, a daughter of the late George and Philomene (Boucher) Hebert. She was educated in Lewiston and has been a Maine resident all of her life.
Cecile had been employed as a stitcher for several different shoe factories in the Portland and Lewiston areas for more than 38 years before retiring.
She was a communicant of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church as well as being involved with bingo. She was a very energetic person who enjoyed sewing and exercising.
She is survived by her seven children, Gerard R. Labbe and his wife, Joan H., of Westbrook, Robert Labbe and his wife, Connie, of West Minot, Carol M. McDonald and her husband, Paul V., of Buxton, Lois Carr of Old Orchard Beach, Pamela R. Zorda of Port Orange, Fla., Francine Downs and her husband, Richard E., of Portland, and Stella Jo Maine and her husband, Reggie R., of South Portland. She also leaves 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Cecile’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Manor and the fifth floor at Mercy Hospital for their care and support during this most difficult time.
