RUMFORD – The wedding of Sarah Haley Collins and Peter Douglas Gilbert was held at 2 p.m. on May 31 at St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford. The Rev. Angelo Levasseur officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Gilbert is the daughter of Jeff and Shelly Harlow of Dixfield. Mr. Gilbert is the son of Doug and Donna Gilbert of Dixfield.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Nikki Donahue, friend, and Beth Watson, cousin, were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Deidre Gilbert, sister of the bridegroom, and Erin Hatch and Gwen Parks, friends of the couple. Caitlin Murphy, cousin of the bride, and Jordan Cote, cousin of the bridegroom, were flower girls.

Best men were Derrick Gilbert, brother of the bridegroom, and Nathan Holmes, friends of the bridegroom. Ushers were Harold James Mason, friend of the bridegroom, and Ben and Nick Harlow, brothers of the bride. E.J. Murphy, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Black Mountain in Rumford, after which the couple traveled to North Conway. N.H. They are residing in West Lafayette, Ind.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of the University of Maine and is attending graduate school at Purdue University.

The bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of the University of Maine and is also attending graduate school at Purdue University. He is employed at Caterpillar Industries.
