BIDDEFORD – Edna Boomer Howe, 101, of Southridge Living Center, Biddeford, passed away on Friday, Nov. 14.

Born in 1907, she graduated from Lubec High School in 1927. After working for New England Tel. & Tel., she married Earle L. Boomer of Lubec and Southwest Harbor.

After her husband passed away in 1957, she married John E. Howe of Bryant Pond in 1965.

The Howes spent many years traveling. Mr. Howe passed away in 2003.

Mrs. Howe was a member of the Congregational Church, the Franklin Grange No. 124 in Bryant Pond, and the American Legion Auxiliary No. 69 in Southwest Harbor.

She is survived by a daughter, Jean B. Emerson (Chester) of Saco; a son, Jay J. Boomer (Priscilla) of Wells; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Olive Risko; and three stepsons, J. Francis (Winona) Howe, Edwin (Elouise) Howe and C. Stephen (Joyce) Howe of Bryant Pond; plus seven step-grandchildren.
