FREEPORT – Naomi Grace Gordon, 80, of East Street and formerly of Lisbon, died Friday, Nov. 14, at the Freeport Nursing Home.

She was born in Brunswick on Jan. 12, 1928, the daughter of Alton Sr. and Mattie Alexander Collins, and attended Brunswick schools.

On Dec. 12, 1947, she married Burchard Gordon. He died March 6, 1987.

Naomi was a homemaker devoted to raising her family. For 42 years, Naomi resided in Bowdoin before moving to Lisbon in 2004.

For many years, Naomi enjoyed taking care of elderly people. She enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons, Dennis L. Gordon of Brunswick, and his companion, Sandy Trebilcock, of Topsham, Kenneth D. Gordon and his wife, Tricia, of Bowdoin, and Larry B. Gordon of Brunswick; a sister, Janet Gurney of Brunswick; a brother, Richard Collins of Harpswell; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by an infant son, Wayne Gordon;, a sister, Lavinia Lane; and two brothers, Alton Jr. and Allen Collins.
