Every year, one week is set aside to honor America’s educators. Nov. 16-22 is National Education Week.

This year, educators in Lewiston celebrate the successes of students who have achieved noteworthy goals. Lewiston’s students are some of the brightest, most academically advantaged young people in the state, with a significant number of graduates who attend post-secondary schools.

The collaborative efforts of educators, from kindergarten to grade 12, have resulted in talented and responsible young adults who will continue to serve as role models for future generations.

The hard work and dedication of Lewiston’s educators is commendable.

On behalf of the Lewiston Education Association, I express my gratitude to all Lewiston’s educators. Their commitment to excellence is forever etched in the minds of the students with whom they have worked in the classrooms.

I encourage all Lewiston’s educators to celebrate National Education Week, and to remember the immeasurable differences made in Lewiston’s young people.

Elizabeth A. Dulac, Auburn

President, Lewiston Education Association
