LONGWOOD, Fla. – Daniel Maurice Hebert, 58, of Longwood, Fla., formerly of Auburn and Lisbon, died unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 13.

He was born in Lewiston, on April 28, 1950, to Maurice L. and Yvonne A. Hebert. He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1968, and attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He worked at Apopka Water Treatment Plant in Florida.

Dan was an adventurous outdoorsman who was passionate for golf, skiing and hiking and achieved many accomplishments in those areas. He was a member of the ski patrol at Mt. Abram for years.

He was very proud of his grandchildren and loved being with them. He was a sweet man and was loved by many. He always saw the good in people.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, the former Pennie Rafnel; his mother-in-law, Ellie Rafnel; one daughter, Ammie Thurman and her husband, Marvin; one son, Andrew and his wife, Susie; grandchildren, Joey, Samantha, Christopher, Tavin and Jaxon, all of Florida; three brothers, David and his wife, Debbie, of Rangeley, Dennis and his wife, Monique, of Sabattus, and Donald and his wife, Kelli, of Lewiston; one sister, Donna of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.
