SOUTH PARIS – Doris H. Hunt, 85, of Norway, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Maine Veterans’ Home.

She was born Aug. 20, 1923, the daughter of Elmer A. and Imelda (Lacombe) Pratt.

She was a wonderful homemaker who worked side by side with her husband on everything. A loving mom and tireless grandma who spent endless hours with all her grandchildren.

She loved snowmobiling, knitting, bird watching and playing cards.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Mawhinney and husband, Douglas, and Sharon L. Hunt, both of Norway; four grandchildren, Robyn Savage and her partner, Jon Rhoades, Christopher Mawhinney and wife, Kimmy, Jason Newell and wife, Tamara Chase, and Cass Newell; four great-grandchildren, Montana and Sydney Mawhinney and Jake and Ben Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Don Hunt, who passed away Oct. 26; parents; brothers, Forrest and Eugene; and sisters, Genevieve Upton, Laurette Gordon, Louise McQuilkin and Marie Pratt.
