AUBURN – Leanna R. Mayne died Nov. 18 in Auburn.

She was born Oct. 27, 1974, in Kingwood, W.Va., and she resided in Lewiston for six years. She battled cervical cancer for two years, and used this time to share with others her knowledge of this kind of cancer.

An outdoor type of person, she loved nature, hiking, camping, fishing and scuba diving. She was very proactive in Panther Pals and she fought for animals with laughs and all her heart.

She is survived by her parents, Walter and Vera Mayne of West Virginia; brother, Eric Mayne of West Virginia; sister, Kimberly Greaser of Pennsylvania; longtime, scuba partners, Melisa and Kyle Billings of Lewiston; and many, many friends.
