BANGOR (AP) – Videotapes shown in the trial of a Bangor man accused of raping and killing a woman depict a man pushing a wheelbarrow.

Prosecutors say the man captured by the cameras was 60-year-old Ashton Moores, who was using the wheelbarrow to dispose of the victim’s body.

Moore is on trial in Penobscot County Superior Court for the killing in March 2007. Christina Siminon’s body was found a day later by two teenagers.

The defense claims Moores is innocent and that there are two other men that police failed to investigate thoroughly. Moores has a lengthy criminal history that mostly consists of arson, including a fire that claimed the life of a 76-year-old man in Orono in 1973.
