LEWISTON – Bates College baseball staff will be conducting Winter Training Clinics beginning in the month of December and completing in February. One day per week will focus on the mechanics of hitting while an additional day each week will emphasize throwing mechanics. In January, a second throwing day per week will be offered as well. Session groupings will be available for Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12.

December’s schedule will include Saturday afternoons for hitting and Sunday afternoons for throwing (both days’ times will be 1 p.m. for grades 9-12 and 2:30 p.m. for grades 6-8). The schedule beginning in January will include Saturday mornings for hitting, while throwing days will occur on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. January weekend day schedule will be 9 a.m. for grades 9-12 and 10:30am for grades 6-8. Thursday evening times will be 5:30 p.m. for the middle school-aged players and 6:30 p.m. for high school players.
