NORWAY – Kevin W. McBean Sr., 47, of Oxford, died Thursday, Nov. 20, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Hartford, Conn., on Nov. 3, 1961, the son of Reginald G. and Barbara Whittemore McBean. He attended Andover College and Husson College. He had been employed at Betsy’s Store, Stride Rite in Auburn, Herman Shoe in Scarborough and Boise Cascade, New Page Mill in Rumford for 20 years before retiring due to illness.

He enjoyed collecting baseball cards, sports, NASCAR and handheld games. He married Christine McAllister on June 29, 1985.

He is survived by his wife of Oxford; his mother of Oxford; two sons, Kevin Jr. and Josh, both of Oxford; two brothers, Reginald G. McBean Jr. of Wilton and Brian McBean of Caribou; and a sister, Julia Gammon of Sumner.

He was predeceased by his father.
