Barbara Emerson, known as the “Royal Hat Lady,” of Rockland, drops off gifts at the Salvation Army giving tree during the Rambunctious Red Hatter’s gift drive on Friday at the Auburn Mall. This was the third year the group has organized the event. Last year, they collected more than 350 unwrapped toys for needy families.
