Between Friday Nov. 14 and 21 at 7 a.m. the Lewiston Police Department responded to 785 calls for service. Of those calls, 266 of them were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal mischief

A vehicle parked at 8 Libby Ave. had sugar dumped in its gas tank overnight Nov. 15-16.

A window at Grant’s Bakery at 525 Sabattus St. was shot by a BB overnight Nov. 18-19.

A vehicle parked at 4 Drew St. had a window smashed out overnight Nov. 16-17.

A trailer at Mount Hope Trailer Park had several screens cut at approximately 12:30 a.m. Nov. 13.

A vehicle parked at Tim Hortons at 855 Lisbon St. had its tires slashed between 3 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Nov. 14.

A stone wall at St. Pat’s Church at 220 Bates St. was tagged with graffiti overnight Nov. 17-18.

Thefts

An iPpod was stolen from a patron of the May’s Center at 95 Russell St. between 4 p.m. Nov. 14 and 10 a.m. Nov. 15.

A white and brown pitbull puppy was stolen from the backyard of 193 Holland St. before 6 p.m. Nov. 17. Witnesses report seeing a white female wearing blue jeans, a blue coat and an orange T-shirt walking away with the dog.

A resident of the Bates dorms at 13 Campus Ave. had her iPod and passport stolen from her unlocked room between 10 a.m. Nov. 15 and 8 p.m. Nov. 16.

A student of the May’s Center at 95 Russell St. had a jacket, wallet and Bates ID stolen between 10:30 p.m. Nov. 15 and midnight Nov. 16.

Several patrons of the Merrill Gym at 145 Russell St. had cash and iPods stolen between 8:30 and 10 a.m. Nov. 15.

A jacket, scarf and Bates ID were stolen from a coat rack at Carnegie Science at 44 Campus Ave. between 9:30 and 11 a.m. Nov. 13.

Motor vehicle burglaries

A vehicle parked at 39 King Ave. was burglarized overnight Nov. 19-20, and a wallet was taken from it.

Several vehicles parked at the Colisee at 190 Birch St. were burglarized Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. by a juvenile who fled the area on foot when he was discovered by a resident.

A vehicle parked outside the Lewiston Pawn Shop was burglarized around 5 p.m. Nov. 18; an MP3 player was taken.

Burglaries

An apartment at 227 Oak St. was burglarized at at 2:55 a.m. Nov. 18. The resident was awakened to find someone inside her apartment who fled when they realized they had been discovered. Entry was gained through an unlocked window, a purse was stolen.

Officers responded to Marden’s at 770 Main St. at 4:29 a.m. Nov. 19 for a report of a burglary in progress. Officers searched the building with a dog but the suspects had already fled. The descriptions were of two white males wearing hooded sweatshirts.

A residence at 299 Webster St. was burglarized overnight Nov. 17-18, the basement was entered and items were taken from inside.

A resident of 184 Webber St. had her home burglarized at 4:48 p.m. Nov. 17, a door was forced to gain entry, cash was taken from a lockbox inside.

Robbery

A pedestrian who was walking past the Acme Club at 255 Park St. was robbed and assaulted by four black males at 7 a.m. Nov. 18. He described the suspects as four males 17 to 19 years old. One was wearing a red plaid flannel shirt and baggy jeans, another was wearing a heavy dark blue, puffy, down coat, and another was wearing a white baseball cap. The victim thought one of them was armed with a knife. The suspects kicked him in the ribs and stole his wallet.

Operating after suspension arrests

Benjamin Stein, 21, was arrested on charges of operating after suspension and violation of bail conditions at 12:20 p.m. Nov. 15 at Russell and Collete streets after a traffic stop.

Abdullah Saleem, 50, was arrested on charges of operating without a license, theft by receiving stolen property and attaching false plates 12:23 p.m. Nov. 16 at 515 Lisbon St. after a traffic stop.

Mark Richardson, 31, was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle without a license at 10:41 p.m. Nov. 16 at Lisbon and Quimby streets after a traffic stop.

Nicole Morgan, 26, was arrested on charges of operating after suspension and violating conditions of release at 2:32 a.m. Nov. 19 at Pettingill and Main streets after a traffic stop.

Operating under the influence arrests

Randall Marcum, 46, was arrested on charges of operating under the influence and violating conditions of release at 10:09 p.m. Nov. 14 at 827 Lisbon St. after a traffic stop.

Randy Provencher, 39, was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence at 11:28 p.m. Nov. 15 at Willow Circle and Bartlett street after a traffic stop.

Jacqueline Lemieux, 25, was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence at 1:05 a.m. Nov. 15 at 507 Sabattus St. after a traffic stop.

Russell Chapman, 29, was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence at 12:58 a.m. Nov. 16 at Main and High streets after a traffic stop.

Andrew Franco, 30, was arrested on charges of operating while license suspended and operating under the influence at 2:35 a.m. Nov. 16 at East Avenue and Homefield street after a traffic stop.

Steven Fusilier, 42, was arrested on charges of operating under the influence and operating without a license at 12:42 a.m. Nov. 18 at Pettingill and College streets after a traffic stop.

Christopher Bain, 32, was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence at 1 a.m. Nov. 21 at East and Lemont avenues after a traffic stop.
