AUBURN – Comedian/writer Dave Rattigan will headline the Saturday, Nov. 29, comedy show at The Fireside Inn & Suites. He will perform with Tammy Pooler of Portland and Boston’s Chris Torres.

Rattigan’s CD, “Dave Rattigan: Thinks He’s Funny,” has been played in the regular rotation at XM Satellite Radio’s comedy channel as well as on Sirius satellite radio and other radio stations and syndicates around the world.

“There are a lot of comedians who get laughs because they’re stealing other people’s jokes, but Dave Rattigan actually writes this stuff. He’s either a genius or simply an incredibly twisted individual – the verdict is still out, but either way, we’re glad to have him,” said show promoter and fellow comedian Travis Wallace.

Rattigan’s humor columns have run in a variety of magazines and newspapers, including the Christian Science Monitor, North Shore magazine and the Boston Globe. He has performed with a variety of top acts in clubs around the Northeast, including Jeff Dunham, Nick DiPaolo and the Beach Boys. He has also performed in large and medium-sized theaters such as the Colonial in Keene, N.H.

Named “Portland’s Best Emerging Comedic Artist” by the Portland Phoenix, Pooler combines innocent, sweet looks with biting, edgy and well-delivered material. With Pooler, anything is a likely source for material, from her home life to other personal experiences.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are $16 at the door, $12 with a reservation. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. For tickets/reservations, call 777-1777. The Fireside Inn & Suites is at 1777 Washington St., at Exit 75 of the Maine Turnpike.
