The solution to the automaker’s request is simple – bail out the American people. What if everyone who wanted a new car could get one?

There are two possible ways to do this: Allow everyone who files a tax return a refundable tax credit for purchasing a new auto; or issue another round of stimulus checks that could only be cashed at auto dealers. Checks would have to be large enough to allow people to actually buy a car.

That’s my idea!
